A friend was looking at used iPhones online on a popular Buy & Sell platform last night in the hope of finding one in very good condition at a very good price. Within minutes she had found exactly what she was looking for. The phone was the version she wanted, it was unlocked, had enough GB, and still a pretty good battery life. The only glitch was that the seller had mentioned a slight crack on the screen.
My friend agreed to meet the seller later today so that she could have a look at the phone, but in the meantime she began to have doubts about this offer and was worried that the crack on the glass screen would expand and soon make the phone a hazard, as well as cost her more money to get it repaired.
We decided to do a reading to see the consequences of buying the phone and not buying it. It’s always better to do this type of reading than trying to answer a “should” question, mainly because “should” is so vague.
I took out my Flornoy Noblet cards and decided the top line would show what would happen if she bought the phone, and the bottom line what would happen if she didn’t.

At first glance I thought meh… Nothing much seems to be happening in the bottom line. All the figures seem to be at a standstill, and mostly looking towards the past. Boring.
The top line seemed to be a bit more forward moving, even though the Fool doesn’t seem to be very prepared and the Lover ends up being faced with more choices, it seems.
Then I looked at the top line again, and the bottom line again, and the message became very clear. Remember that the worry was the crack on the screen.
Top line: The Fool’s annoying dog transforms into a larger and more ferocious animal and then a Cherub in the last card is shooting an arrow at the Lover’s head. Conclusion: If she were to buy the phone, a small annoyance would soon turn into a much bigger headache. (Also note how the cherub is shooting his arrow from a cloud with very sharp lines that look like broken glass!)
Bottom line: The Hermit is retracing his steps to look at or for something; the Empress seems to be sitting tight and the Papesse is reading a book. Conclusion: That line is saying to hold tight, look around some more and do some research.
I decided to pull another card to clarify what the Lover card also might entail for my friend if she still went ahead to buy the phone. The card pulled was Temperance. In other words, in addition to getting a “big headache”, my friend would also have to make more compromises when using that phone.

Then I looked again at the Temperance card and saw what a great sense of humour cards have. I wonder if the glass on the cellphone screen had been properly “tempered”. 🙂
My friend decided to follow the advice of this reading. She will be patient, do some research and wait a while before looking for a new phone.
