This time the question arrived without any background info and no immediate opportunity to find out more. The querent asked, ” What will be the outcome of my parents’ current situation? Will everything go smoothly, will they actually be moving?”
I decided to use the Lenormand cards. They consist of 36 picture cards. I usually ignore the playing card insets in them. I just use the traditional meanings of the pictures and how they interact with each other.

The cut was interesting because I got “House” (where one lives) and “Bouquet” (invitation or support).
The House was at the bottom of the pack, so it didn’t come up in the layout, but the two cards behind it were the “Storks” (in this case, moving) and behind that, the Snake (small situation of betrayal, sometimes involving a woman).
Then I laid out five cards. In the picture, we can see: “Stars” (a positive card, they act as your guide in the night and help you get your bearings), then the “Clouds”, which is a nasty card because in a cloudy sky you can’t see the stars anymore.* This was followed by the central card, which was the “Woman”. After that was another nasty card, the Fox which, in this case (for this question) would mean something that is WRONG, especially in reference to the woman, since it follows her.
At the end of the line I got the Bouquet card. (The one that had come out in the cut.) The Bouquet and the Stars are traditionally good omens and work together as “bookends” of the reading. I added another card under the “Bouquet” to see what kind of support this was, and I got the “Dog” (faithful friend). I also added an extra card below the woman card to see what she was up to, and I got the “ring”, which refers to contracts or at least commitments.
So from what I could see in these cards, it looked like the querent’s parents may have been forced into a move by signing a contract with this woman. She may have hoodwinked them (Clouds, Fox) to agree to a situation that wasn’t really what they wanted (Fox) before they could read the fine print. I’m not sure if they will move or not because, even though the Storks and the House came up at the bottom of the pack, they did not come up in the reading line. It looks, though, like the querent’s parents will still have some help or maybe an invitation (the Bouquet) to stay somewhere from a faithful friend (“Dog” card).
*For more details on these two cards, see Andy Boroveshengra’s Lenormand: 36 Cards, where he talks about them from the perspective of Roma travelling in the night.
Shortly afterwards I received some feedback from the querent. She confirmed that her parents were in the process of selling their house because the querent’ s grandmother had bequeathed a condominium to them. The querent’s parents had also consulted two real estate agents, one of whom is a woman. The querent is now wondering if that agent could be the woman in the reading.
