Every morning it’s been my practice to draw two cards from Yoav Ben Dov’s CBD Tarot just with a general thought of what to look out for that day. Sometimes the cards are very talkative; sometimes I don’t see anything I can make any sense of, but either way, I look at the illustrations, say thank you and move on.
Today the two cards seemed to speak very clearly by nature of the opposing aspects they presented. On one side I had Temperance, the card of moderation; on the other, I had Force, showing a figure prying the jaws of a lion open. These two cards seem to depict two opposite attitudes. I also thought how appropriate it was that they had been drawn out of the pack of cards with their backs towards each other.

I was almost satisfied with that when I suddenly remembered that each character (Temperance and Force) was looking at an empty space. So I did what I usually do when that happens. I pull out a card for each one to see what the cards are facing.
Temperance was looking at The Fool and Force was looking at The Wheel of Fortune and also facing the handle of the Wheel. I gasped because the completed story of these cards added a very specific caveat:
Even moderation, when embraced by fools, can result in repeated violence.
