So here’s another reading with the Helium Poet Lenormand, which is starting to be my favourite deck! This reading comes with a very long (necessary) prelude, so sorry about that.
A month ago there was a day-long outage that affected my wireless provider. It wasn’t until a week after that I noticed that one of my phone numbers (the one I don’t usually call out from) was still not working. I called the wireless company, but they had no idea what had happened, and I somehow ended up getting a new SIM card that the company connected to a temporary number, but not my original phone number. After asking another reader friend on Facebook what his cards showed I could do about it, it looked like I would have to call many times and give them heck and be prepared to change providers.
I was extremely frustrated because in my opinion all the other providers here are worse, and I wanted to recover my original (permanent) number. So I continued to call my wireless provider to find a solution. Finally I took out my newly arrived Helium Poet Lenormand and asked if my phone line would work again by the end of this month.

It looked good with the Sun at the end, but I didn’t believe it, and I was bothered by that Snake in the middle.
Finally I tested my old number again two days ago on a hunch and it took my call to an uninitialized voice mail (instead of “this line has not been assigned to anyone yet”.) “Oh no,” I thought, “they must have given away my real phone number to some new customer.” Then I suddenly thought, why not try the old SIM card again? And sure enough, they had fixed my phone on that day, but not thought to tell me to reinstall my old SIM card.
The most satisfactory explanation came to me after the phone worked again, because I hadn’t realized that the Snake was also going to be part of the solution. My phone line was disconnected/ “unhooked” (Fish drawing) by several business employees (Fish + Man), who then tried to find roundabout ways (Snake) to make it work, and this had gone on for a long time (Tree). But after some clever manipulation (Snake) on my part, the permanent (Tree) phone line would be connected successfully again (Sun).
